Each Music Artist Makes an Average of $67 in 30 min During LiveRoom’s Beta Launch

September 30, 2020, LiveRoom Media, a professional live streaming and networking platform for the music industry launched last weekend during the Future Tech Festival, 2-day online music, and tech conference.

Each performer delivered a 30 min show, and made, on average, $67 in contributions from the audience with the largest contribution amounting to $107. “I’ve never made money from straight-up beatboxing before, that’s so exciting,” says D-Nice, an NYC-based professional competitive beatboxer.

The event marked LiveRoom’s official beta launch and 10 performances by musical artists. Another LiveRoom performer and Nashville-based singer/songwriter, Charlie Brennan, said “Thank you all for tipping and, thank you LiveRoom for creating a platform like this for artists like me who can’t play live shows right now, it’s such an amazing opportunity. It means a lot.” “Thank you for donating, we may as well use LiveRoom every single day!,” remarked STAR6IXSE7EN during their Future Tech Festival LiveRoom performance.

LiveRoom is a result of an entirely remote 5-month-short collaboration between 4 Co-Founders: Gabriela Naumnik (CEO), Klementyna Bohdanowicz (CRO/CMO), Konrad Krawczyk (CTO), and Sara Bruszt (CDO), all of whom met during their undergraduate years at NYU in New York and Shanghai. LiveRoom Media was selected from 140 startups to join Columbia Startup Lab as a resident venture on September 9, 2020, and was selected one of 10 finalists during Columbia University’s The Greater Good Challenge Business Pitch Competition with the final competition round scheduled for October 9, 2020.
